Office Closure Schedule

The office will be closed on:

Monday, Sept 1st     ( Labor Day )

 

 

The staff is in the office daily, except for

Wednesday & Friday (our usual closed days) to assist

with any patient concerns.

  

Any messages which are not urgent may be left on our recorder.  Messages are checked hourly during office hours.   They are also checked periodically on Wednesday and Friday.  

If you need a physician while the office is closed, please call (626) 584-2517. Our telephone exchange operator will contact Dr. Martin.  He, or his nurse will contact you promptly.

 

Please arrange for prescriptions to be refilled prior

to the office being closed.

It is always a good idea to have a couple of refills on file at your pharmacy.

 

DPT Vaccine  There have been increased reports of pertussis.  We now have the Diphtheria/ Tetanus/Pertussis  vaccine. 

Zostavax  We now have a vaccine to prevent herpes zoster (shingles)  This vaccine is available for our patients age 60 and older.

Gardasil     Gardasil is a vaccine against the HPV or Human Papillomavirus. The Gardasil vaccine protects recipients against 4 types of HPV, including the two types that cause most cervical cancers and the two types that cause the most genital warts.

Flu Vaccine

The new 2008-2009 flu vaccine will soon be available.

Meningitis Vaccines

Throughout the United States there have been more reports of college students contracting meningitis. Dr. Martin is recommending that college students be vaccinated. If you have a college age child and are interested in him or her receiving a meningitis vaccine, please contact our office so the vaccine can be ordered.

 

Flu Shots

Dr. Martin recommends flu shots every four months for patients 65 and older, and also patients who are acutely ill. All other patients are recommended to receive a flu shot every six months.
